Hotel de la Parra

A very nice botique hotel. The staff also provided me a courteous driver for airport transportation. You can't beat the location and the overall hotel has a local-Oaxacan charm.

We only had breakfast here. It was excellent and we returned several times.

Fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Oaxaca, less than a block off the square. The grounds were gorgeous and the rooms were clean. The staff were a delight - attentive, helpful, patient, and kind. The breakfast was perfect - fresh, quick, and delicious. We were a group of 10 from all over the U.S. and we wanted a smaller, more intimate place that we could partially take over. The front desk accommodated our every request from private airport transfers, taxis, and beach transportation, to neighboring community market, textile co-op, and mezcal ancestral distillery visits, to restaurant recommendations and dining reservations. That's no small feat for such a large group. Be sure to request Alí as your driver-guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and courteous, making sure that we were safe, fed, quenched, and informed. He quickly fit right in as part of our group with a great sense of humor, excellent driving and navigation skills, and a well-deserved, beaming pride in his State of Oaxaca. So much so that we missed him when he wasn't around and greatly enjoyed sharing lunches on our day trips and our last dinner in Oaxaca City with him. Highly recommend. Thank you, Hotel de la Parra!

I loved Hotel De La Parra. The team was incredibly friendly and helpful - they truly went above and beyond to make recommendations even calling some cafes ahead to check on their hours and location felt incredibly safe there and they were so reliable, I didn't need to ask twice to have a cab booked at the right time. The pool was so pleasant to relax by. The location was a great home base. I can't wait to come back.

A really lovely place with smiling staff who couldn’t have been more helpful. Beautiful historic building a very short walk away from the central square. Also, excellent communication - by email before our stay and in person while we were staying there. Everything just worked quietly and efficiently. We were very happy staying there.

We just had a marvelous stay for a week with 5 rooms booked for family in town for a wedding. The staff was amazing, accommodating in every way, patient, friendly and available. The hotel is immaculate, and the cleaning staff are so kind and attentive to all the details. We had breakfast in the courtyard each morning and it was fresh and delicious. The location is perfect, a block from the Zocalo, no traffic, markets and restaurants, shops and banks, just steps away. We felt safe and embraced by the warmth and vitality of the city. We look forward to staying there again and seeing more of the area.

This central Hotel in Oaxaca was a delight. We had a small problem in the room and they upgraded it immediately. We were impressed. They also gave us breakfast earlier on departure as we left before normal breakfast hours. Made us tea when we asked for hot water. I can find no fault. I would stay again.

My group had a GREAT visit to de la Parra this week. All of the staff was WONDERFUL -- extremely nice, service-oriented, accommodating, and GREAT when we needed help navigating a couple random curveballs. The rooms were very comfy, contemporary and clean. The rear pool & bar terrace was delightful. The location, just one block from the Centro neighborhood's commercial center Zocalo plaza was very convenient. The value for the price seems unmatched in Oaxaca City.
